H’berg Manor launches new block

The hugely successful Helderberg Manor Retirement Village in Somerset West, a prestigious collection of houses, garden apartments and assisted living suites, has launched a new block of apartments due to the high demand, which will be the last development on the estate.

The new block will offer only eight units, consisting of two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments at a cost of R1 595 million. The block will be completed by mid-2019.

Developed by the esteemed Devmark Property Group, the development is situated in Heritage Park — a 200-ha private estate, complete with its own houses, schools, shops, places of worship, parks and waterways at the foot of the picturesque Helderberg Mountain.

According to Hein Ehlers, founder and Group CEO of the Devmark Property Group, the success of Helderberg Manor lies in the fact that it offers retirees everything they need. “We all know that location is of paramount importance,” he says. “Helderberg Manor is situated close to the picturesque winelands of Somerset West and Stellenbosch, beaches, shops and restaurants. Furthermore, all the amenities have been completed, including the clubhouse, library, assisted living suites and 24-hour medical care — all situated in beautifully landscaped gardens. It remains one of our most successful developments to date. Our residents are active, social and enjoy life to the fullest, and our garden and house cleaning services give residents the opportunity to lead a lock-up and go lifestyle.”

Ehlers concludes: “The fact that most facilities have been completed at Helderberg Manor makes these apartments very attractive to prospective buyers. One can just move in and have the pleasure of all the required amenities on your doorstep, an established community and no more construction.”

Helderberg Manor is surrounded within a 15-km radius by the economic hub of the Helderberg area, the private hospital Vergelegen Medi-Clinic, the popular shopping destination The Somerset Mall, the Helderberg Nature Reserve, with its beautiful fynbos and walking trails, a variety of golf courses for enthusiasts, the warm blue False Bay, with its white sandy beaches ideal for family outings, and the various routes to popular wine estates, including the Lourensford and Vergelegen wine estates.

Devmark Property Group has become synonymous with successful retirement villages including Clé du Cap, Legato, Heritage Manor, Onrus Manor, La Vie Est Belle, Villa Cortona and The Plettenberg Manor.
